T+371 On Hold...

Oh, how I wish I was telling you that the car is loaded, and we're ready to go.  But that's not to be right now.  Torie's counts have dropped again.  Since Monday, Platelets have dropped from 198 to 170, WBC's from 5.5 to 5.0, and hemoglobin down to 10.9 from 11.8.  That's almost a gram in 3 days.  And it's 2 grams less than 10 days ago.   Aaaarrgh!  We are increasing her steroid dose; Sunday she got 20mg, and on Tuesday we dropped it to 15mg.  Dr. Orchard feels that her Hemolytic Anemia/Evans Syndrome just doesn't like lower steroids.  The new plan is to increase her steroid dose back to 20mg and check labs on Monday.  Mys-Torie.

We are so disappointed, and so is Lexie.  We want our family back in the same state!  But we'll take one day at a time like we've been doing until we get Vic-Torie!

  1. Well let's see what Monday brings. Positive and happy thoughts along with prayers that the increased steroids do the trick.

  3. Oh ... how we've been praying for your chance to go home! Maybe just a few days delay! We can only imagine how disappointing the delay is!!! Do know you're in our thoughts and prayers. We pray the best for this little Torie girl ... and we know there in Minn. she's in the best care. We so want your family to be reunited again.

  4. Did she kick him in the shins?

We are praying that this is just another small "bump" in the road and that you all will be in that car on the way home soon!
