Torie had a really busy day yesterday...PT, OT, and Speech Therapy. And in between a trip to Clinic to get lab results, and then back after Speech for more G-CSF. Her WBC's just aren't wanting to stay up on their own. Otherwise, she's doing great. Eating lots, playing, and getting back to her old self. Today she had a CT of her chest as a follow-up from when she was in the hospital. There were some nodules on her previous CT that led the Docs to think she had some kind of fungal infection that was causing her high fevers. Hopefully, these will be gone and she can start coming off the VFend.
Torie's transplant was 50 days ago. We left home 12 weeks ago today. It seems so long ago now, and I'm surprised by how fast it's gone by. We hope to be heading west in about 7 more weeks. We miss all of you at home, but we're grateful for all the support - not only for us, but for our new friends here. Please keep up the thoughts and prayers for all these sick kids and their families....Grow cells, Grow! Vic-Torie!
And please, help RMH get votes! Go to the global website www.rmhc.org/ and click on the Minneapolis dot. It takes 4 seconds and could help win $5000!!
I can't wait for you all to come back to this side of the Rockies. 12 weeks? No wonder I'm so lonesome for all of you. Grand Baby Torie, start growing those marshmellows! Grow cells, Grow!
ReplyDeleteSee you all soon!

Hey Torie, we are praying your WBCs start coming up on their own. Keep eating and drinking. You are awesome to be eating/drinking so much already. We love you!
ReplyDeleteTorie,
ReplyDeleteWow what a busy day! I'm anxious to hear the results of the CT-the more meds they can take away the better! Keep taking those giant steps forward. Wishing and praying for those WBCs to come up.
Can't wait until you guys are all back home!
Love,
Aunt Lettie
